The problems we identified with the original version of the homepage included (1) no apparent organizational structure or hierarchy; (2) cluttered and content-heavy; (3) gave no indication of what Eventful did; (4) visual design did little to benefit the brand; and, (5) no events listed anywhere.

Goals of the redesign included (1) explaining what Eventful does; (2) actually showing events on the homepage; (3) trimming some content and organizing the rest; (4) bring the visual design current; (5) increase user engagement and new-user acquisition.

This was my first project as a full-time designer; Eventful has 10MM registered users. Despite some concessions in the final stages of the project, it was a very successful redesign in terms of company goals.
